Suicide Investigation Prompts Weekend Police Presence Near Library

Bolingbrook police investigated an adult suicide Friday night near Fountaindale Public Library.

Around 5:45 p.m. Friday, numerous Bolingbrook Patch readers reported seeing as many as 15 police cars lined up on Delaware Drive, just north of Briarcliff Road. Police cars blocked the Fountaindale parking lot, according to witnesses, and Delaware Drive and at Davis Lane was blocked off. 

"Police have guns drawn surrounding a house," wrote one reader. "SWAT truck just backed up to the house!" 

Police began to leave at 7 p.m., according to a witness. 

Police are not releasing any further information about the incident.
