Bolingbrook Police Department Slides for Special Olympics
This fundraising event provides critical funding for the brave athletes of Special Olympics Illinois, and so much more.

On Saturday, March 6, 2021, the Bolingbrook Police Department participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois Polar Plunge. The theme this year was, #BeBoldGetCold. It is not how or where you plunge, but that you plunge in support of the Special Olympics Athletes.
This year the Bolingbrook Police Department, led by Sgt. Kris Schrubbe, supported this great cause in a unique and socially distant fashion by slipping and sliding down the hill behind the Village Hall, with an assist from a tarp, some dish soap, and ice cold water.
The Polar Plunge is one of many fundraising events that provide critical funding for the brave athletes of Special Olympics Illinois so they can compete in year-round sports and training, health and wellness, and leadership programs, including virtual programming.
