Bolingbrook Proclaims Young Latina Day

Young Latina Day was proclaimed and celebrated Thursday in Bolingbrook. A portion of the proclamation read, “All residents of the Village of Bolingbrook should unite in aiding to further the dreams of young Latinas.”

Community Leaders and Elected Officials were in attendance alongside The Fig Factor Foundation. The Foundation received the proclamation and described their mission to become a powerful national catalyst for Latinas (ages 12-25) to pursue their dreams by providing educational leadership platforms, mentorship, and powerful experiences through a context of sisterhood.

Today’s Young Latina Day Celebration in Bolingbrook was one of seven happening every hour across the city and suburbs. Other communities celebrating were West Chicago, Chicago, Hanover Park, Bartlett, Aurora, and Berwyn. Learn more about The Fig Factor Foundation by clicking here.
