Bolingbrook Raiders Football Season Ends At 7-3

In Friday night's home loss, Bolingbrook was without starting QB Anthony Vespo who broke his leg the previous week.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - The Bolingbrook Raiders football team ended its season on Friday night with a 28-14 home defeat to the Warren Blue Devils in a first-round playoff game of Class 8A football. Bolingbrook was playing Friday's playoff contest without its regular starting quarterback, Anthony Vespo, who was lost to an injury during the previous week's game. Raiders freshman No. 17 Samuel Jackson tried to fill the void at quarterback. There were some bright spots for Bolingbrook. Junior RB Quentin Pringle rushed for two TDs including his second score early into the fourth quarter to close the score to 21-14. Warren got another touchdown to seal the win. Final score 28-14. Bolingbrook finished the year 7-3.

Bolingbrook's defense showed sparks of energy but just couldn't find any answers to stop Warren when the game was on the line.

# 17 Freshman Samuel Jackson started at quarterback for the Raiders against Warren due to Anthony Vespo's injury.

#7 Junior Running Back Quentin Pringle (8 carries, 190 yards) ran for 2 touchdowns of 87 and 83 yards.

Warren quarterback #11 Ian Schilling rushed for 2 touchdowns and threw a 19-yard TD pass. Schilling completed 14 of 23 passes for 175 yards.

Warren's Martin Walker Jr. 33 carries, 123 yards, busts off a 27-yard touchdown run.
