Bolingbrook Resident Seeks Support for Amputee Retreat
Susan Allen is the President of the Amputee Warrior Alliance (AWA) and is looking for individuals and businesses to support the cause!

Susan Allen is the President of the Amputee Warrior Alliance (AWA) and a local Bolingbrook resident. She is working hard to get the word out about the upcoming AWA 2nd Annual Amputee Retreat being held September 5 - 8 in Nashville, IN. She is hoping to get local businesses to help make small financial donations to help the group with accommodation costs and other retreat costs.
The retreat will teach amputees skills they may not of tried since becoming an amputee. Orthotic and Prosthetic Activites Foundation (OPAF) is coming to teach First Swim and First Dance plus adaptive sports . There will be break groups that will give caretakers a chance to talk to others and maybe even form life long friendships. Susan and the AWA are actively looking for sponsors that will work with the group each year and be able to keep building a bigger and better retreat! Sponsors would get their name on retreat shirts and in the program book.
Business interested in sponsoring can reach out to Susan Allen via e-mail: arottluver@msn.com
