Boy Scouts of America Votes to Allow Gay Scouts, But Not Leaders
Gay adults are still not allowed to participate as scoutmasters or in other leadership roles.

The Boy Scouts of America voted Thursday to allow gay scouts into its ranks, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
The vote ends a ban that existed for the organization's entire 103-year history. Gay men are still not allowed to participate as scoutmasters or in other leadership roles.
