Fewer Coronavirus Cases At VVSD As Classes Go Fully Remote

As of Saturday, five staff members and four students tested positive for COVID-19 during the week.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — The number of coronavirus cases among students and staff members of the Valley View School District went down quite a lot during last week, according to recent data. As of Saturday, five staff members and four students tested positive for COVID-19 during the week.

These numbers have gone down from the week before that when 20 students and 11 staff members had tested positive for the virus. The number of reported cases have been going down each week.

This comes after the district decided to pause on-site learning for all students, including those in special programs or targeted groups starting Nov. 16. This extended period of full-remote learning will continue until after the winter break when the district plan on implementing a phased return on-site, dependent on the level of community transmission at that time. The updated tentative timeline can be accessed here.
