Coyote Roams Bolingbrook Subdivision This Weekend

A sharp-eyed Bolingbrook resident captured photos of one coyote Sunday afternoon.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - Bolingbrook is home to many wonderful things such as The Bolingbrook Promenade, the Bolingbrook Golf Club and a Panera Bread café that just began offering delivery service. It's a growing community of 76,000 with several nice subdivisions but human beings are not the only living breathing organisms moving into Bolingbrook these days. So are some unusual critters. On Sunday, shortly before 1 p.m., a Bolingbrook resident noticed this coyote wandering around her yard. She captured some photos and send them off to the Bolingbrook Patch. Her purpose is to alert other people in the area that a potentially dangerous coyote is on the move. Coyotes are known to attack other animals, including dogs.

"I literally watched him jump the fence or I wouldn't have believed it myself. It just hopped to the top and went right over," Bolingbrook resident DeAun DeYoung Jude wrote Patch.

The Bolingbrook resident said the coyote was roaming the area behind Clow Airport, near Blackfoot Drive and Comanche Drive.

"Third time this week had a coyote hop a 6-foot fence to get in my yard. I have 3 large dogs but fear for those with small dogs and children," she wrote Bolingbrook Patch.
