December Forest Preserve Photo Contest Winner Announced
A Mokena man won with his picture of a snow covered bridge

Chuck Medrano, of Mokena, won the December Forest Preserve District of Will County photo contest. Medrano's photo of a snow-covered bridge at Hickory Creek Preserve joins six other monthly winners that will be compete for top honors.
The public will be able to vote for their favorite photo between January 10 and January 20 on the Forest Preserve District of Will County's Facebook page.
Medrano told the forest preserve district that he spends a lot of time in the Hickory Creek Preserve because it’s close to his home. He took the winning shot after the first snowfall of the season.

“Everything looks better in the fresh snow,” Medrano told the district. “It was a bit of a trek … but it was worth it.”
