Disney TV Star Visiting Promenade Saturday

A Disney star will make her way to Bolingbrook this weekend to help get kids ready to head back to school.

A meet and greet with Disney Channel’s A.N.T Farm actress Stefanie Scott will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, at The Promenade Bolingbrook, 631 E. Boughton Road.

Her visit is part of The Promenade’s Teen Vogue Back-to-School Saturday event which will also include makeup classes, hair tips, giveaways, text-to-win contests and swag bags for the first 50 teenage girls.

“We chose her because of course she’s on a TV show everyone loves and she plays a very nice character on there,” said Kris Kuchler, director of marketing at The Promenade. “I definitely think she’s a good, strong representation of a girl we’d like for the people of The Promenade to see. Especially teen girls. They love her.”

Staff from Macy’s will offer the hair tips.

“If you wake up late for school you can see how you can do your hair so it will look nice,” Kuchler said.

Officials are excited about Scott’s visit.

“We are thrilled to have Miss Scott at The Promenade for a meet and greet,” Kuchler said. “She is a good role model for the teens and she is personable and interactive with her fans and we love that.”
