Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service in Bolingbrook
Community-wide event and day of service honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. being hosted in Bolingbrook on January 21st

Join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Chi Sigma Omega chapter in a community-wide event honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 10:00am. The event is scheduled to take place at the Bolingbrook Community Center (201 Canterbury Lane) and will feature a panel of local community leaders. Topics will include discussing what each generation can do to move closer to realizing Dr. King's dream of equality and justice for all.
As a part of the event, donations of non-perishable canned food items and diapers are being accepted. The items will then be donated to local food pantries. If you can’t make the event on January 21st, but would still like to donate items, early drop-off is available January 14th through January 17th from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Benford Brown & Associates (343 N. Schmidt Road in Bolingbrook).
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) - Chi Sigma Omega chapter was chartered on December 5, 2004 in Bolingbrook, Illinois for the purpose of servicing communities in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Chi Sigma Omega’s goal is to encourage more people to become active in their community through its year-long events.
