Man Dies After Vehicle Hits Pole, Overturns In Pond: ISP
Police said the 32-year-old from Downers Grove was ejected after crashing on the northbound I-55 ramp to I-355.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — State police said a man was pronounced dead at the scene of an early morning crash near Bolingbrook on Thursday. Police said the vehicle was on the ramp from northbound I-55 to I-355 around 2:36 a.m. when the driver lost control and the vehicle went off the road and hit a live power line pole.
The Will County Coroner's office identified the man as 32-year-old Dennis A. Alexander of Downers Grove.
The crash caused Alexander's vehicle to overturn and become submerged in a pond, according to police.

Illinois State Police said the driver was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The ramp was reopened to traffic just before 6:30 a.m., police said.
