Royce Road Gets Closed; DuPage River Floods In Bolingbrook
Flood warnings remain in effect until Friday morning around Bolingbrook.

BOLINGBROOK, IL - The village of Bolingbrook issued a news bulletin on Tuesday afternoon informing travelers that Royce Road is being closed until further notice. Royce Road is near the DuPage River. Bolingbrook officials posted on Facebook that "no traffic is permitted due to the flooding from the rain and melting snow."
On Tuesday morning, Patch posted a story indicating that a flood warning is in effect this week in Bolingbrook for the east branch of the DuPage River and the river is expected to rise another three feet over the next day. At 3 a.m. Tuesday, the river was already at 19.2 feet deep, according to Weather Underground. Flood stage is considered 19.5 feet. On Wednesday afternoon, the river is expected to reach depths of 22 feet. Moderate flooding has been forecast for the immediate area and the flood warning will remain in place until Friday morning, weather forecasters predicted. In nearby Naperville, village officials posted several photos of street flooding around Naperville, hoping to urge area motorists to be extremely safe when driving.
