Former BHS Star Tuck Retires From WNBA
Injuries have forced the former Raider to call it quits after a five-year pro career in which she played in back-to-back WNBA Finals.

SEATTLE, WA —Morgan Tuck, a former standout at Bolingbrook High School and considered one of the best prep girls basketball players in state history, announced her retirement from professional basketball on Monday after a five-year WNBA career.
Tuck said injuries were responsible for her calling an end to a career in which she played four seasons with the Connecticut Sun and one with the Seattle Storm. Last season, she played limited minutes for a Storm team that captured the WNBA title.
"It is with a heavy heart that I announce my retirement from the WNBA," Tuck said in a release. "I have tried everything physically possible to be ready for the upcoming 2021 WNBA season. Unfortunately, it will not be possible. This was a hard decision to make but I have to listen to what my body is telling me."

Tuck added: "I am glad that in my final season I was able to win a WNBA Championship with the Seattle Storm. Playing the game has been a huge part of my life for so many years. Now that this chapter of my life has come to an end, I am ecstatic to explore the next chapter."
The 6-foot-2 Tuck was the third overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft and scored 642 points, had 273 rebounds and 97 assists in her five seasons. She also was part of a Connecticut Sun team that appeared in the 2019 WNBA Finals.

Though she battled knee injuries during her collegiate career at the University of Connecticut, Tuck played on four consecutive national championship teams in Storrs, CT. As a senior, she was named a WBCA All-American and an Associated Press Second Team All-American.
In high school, Tuck burst upon the scene as a freshman, leading Bolingbrook to the first of three consecutive IHSA Class 4A state titles. She was named Ms. Basketball. Tuck earned that honor again as a senior in 2011-12, and is one of just five players - Cappie Pondexter, Candace Parker, Tyra Buss and Brea Beal are the others - to earn that distinction multiple times. Tuck averaged 27.7 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists during her senior season.
In 2017, the Chicago Tribune unveiled its list of the 100 best Illinois high school basketball players ever regardless of gender, and Tuck was one of five girls listed in the top 50.
