Former Bolingbrook Clerk Dies In Florida
She served as clerk for Bolingbrook before Roger Claar became mayor.
BOLINGBROOK, IL - The village of Bolingbrook announced this week on social media that a former village official has passed away at the age of 84 in Florida. Grace Marie Kolar was from Chicago and served as Bolingbrook's village clerk from 1974 through 1980. Then she moved to Florida where she became a city clerk for Pinellas Park, Bolingbrook said. Since Bolingbrook incorporated in 1965, the village noted, there have only been a total of six clerks. Kolar served as the third.
She was living in Seminole, Florida, at the time of her death, which July 25. Bolingbrook said that donations can be made in Kolar's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at P.O. BOX 1000 Department 495, Memphis, TN. 38101-9801.
