Safe Haven is looking for foster homes for these dogs! They are all currently in foster homes here in Illinois, but for various reason the families are no longer able to keep them. These dogs are already available to be adopted, have been living in homes, are good with dogs, kids and other humans. They just need some more time to find their perfect family. Currently, these dogs are in need of finding a new foster home to hang out at until they can find their forever family!

Safe Haven Dog Rescue pays for all vetting and provides you with supplies while you foster (crate, food, leash/collar, toys, treats). Please email us for a foster application!

Dino- a handsome 2 yr old American Bulldog mix who loves children. He is an amazing walking partner and must be taken out on a leash as he can scale a fence easily. He is a muscular boy, about 55 lbs., who will make an amazing family dog.

Margaret- A beautiful sandy 1-2 yr old mixed breed dog who is about 35 lbs. Margaret came to us pregnant. After having her babies- they have all been adopted- she is now looking for a home of her own. She is shy and needs someone who can help to build her confidence. She would do best in a quiet home and she loves to play with dogs, so another doggie friend to bring her out of her shell will help her!

Marigold- Marigold is a stunning 1 yr old hound mix who weighs about 45 lbs. She had 7 puppies in a landfill and lived to tell about it. Though she is skinny, she is very athletic and would make a great running partner. She is a love bug and enjoys the companionship of humans and dogs. She will make an excellent dog for an active family.

Andromeda- Andromeda is a 70 lb. Great Pyrenees mix who delivered 13 pups in March. She is a well behaved pup and loves a good romp with other dogs. She is a gentle giant and gets along with all of the humans, dogs and cats she has met.

Fred- Fred is a nice 25 lb. little mixed breed fellow who has traveled to IL and found himself to be Heartworm positive. He is looking for a quiet home with children that are older (teens or older) and a family that has dog experience. He will be looking for a place to hang out for about 2 months while he goes through his Heartworm treatment and then he will be available for adoption.

Curtis- Stunning 2 yr old 50 lb. lab mix. Was abandoned at a campground and never reclaimed. He's got a lot of puppy energy so would do well with an active family. He does well with other dogs, kids and likes all the people he meets!!
