Fundraiser Planned for Long-Time Resident After Devastating Fire
Fran Miller, a long-time resident, suffered a devastating loss and now Bolingbrook is coming together for her.

Remember the story of George Bailey and the community that rallied around him when he was most in need? One of our community members, Fran Miller, like George Bailey in the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life,” has given a lot to others and now is in need. Fran suffered a devastating loss on the night of December 6th - a house fire that destroyed her home and all her belongings and took the lives of her pets. Fran has no family; her family are her co-workers and the members of the community of Bolingbrook.
To help get Fran back on her feet, Fran’s friends, neighbors, and co-workers, with the help of the Community Service Council of Northern Will County, have planned a fundraiser for Friday, December 14, 2018. The event will be held at Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill beginning at 7:00pm. Full event details can be found here. 100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Fran Miller Benefit Fund.
Fran is a 40 year resident and long-time employee of the Village of Bolingbrook. She lived on Round Hill Court when the fire started in the laundry room and gutted the whole house, leaving her with nothing. She lost her only son several years ago and now she’s lost her home. Join us to show Fran that it can be a “Wonderful Life” when you have friends who care. Online donations can be made by clicking here.
