Grand Marshal of the 2019 Pet Parade Selected

Congratulations to Heidi who will officially be our 2019 Pet Parade Grand Marshal! She received the largest (22.9%) of the vote! Full Vote Totals - Click Here

Heidi is a 7 Year Young Miniature Schnauzer from Bolingbrook, IL. Heidi's life has been totally turned upside down due to a recent house fire which she lost her fur-baby family and she is the only one that made it out. With high hopes this Grand Marshal opportunity will give her the confidence she needs, take away her anxiety, fright, depression, and go back to her old self and realize her life can return back to normal.

Fran and Heidi Miller submitted the following statement: "Heidi and I are requesting for all the fur-baby finalist contestants to walk with Heidi along side of her in leading the Pet Parade. I want Heidi's new-to-be fur-baby friends surrounded together in walking. We can all walk together in a group leading the parade. That is what Bolingbrook is all about. Standing together as one and being one diverse group; different color, sizes, sex, and of course breeds."

Don't forget, every one of our finalists and nominees were a winner here as our event supports several humane societies and animal rescues, including all registration fees 100% being donated to the West Suburban Humane Society!

The community is welcome to come watch the parade on Saturday. Registration is also still open for pets wishing to be in the parade.
