John Ivlow Inducted to the "Alumni Hall of Fame"
"John is a local football coach, police officer, and a friend to every person he comes in contact with."

On Thursday Evening, the Plainfield School District 202 Foundation for Excellence hosted their Annual Dinner, Auction, and Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Induction event at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. Several local community leaders were honored and inducted throughout the course of the event.
A special congratulations to John David Ivlow on his Induction to the 2019 Alumni Hall of Fame by the Plainfield School District 202 Foundation for Excellence! John graduated from Plainfield High School in 1988. After his professional football career, John was hired by the Bolingbrook Police Department as a patrolman. In 2000, he was reassigned to Bolingbrook High School as a school resource officer. As a police officer for over 22 years, John has received 16 Chief's Commendations and a stack of thank you letters from the public. In 2017, John was also named a "Pillar of Valley View" by the Valley View School District Board for his dedication to the district.
Ken Teppel, Director of Public Safety at the Village of Bolingbrook said, "John Ivlow is much more than a football coach or a police officer, he is a mentor, a role model, a big brother, a stepfather, a counselor, and a friend to every person he comes in contact with."
