Lightning Strike Causes Traffic Signal Outage in Bolingbrook

Bolingbrook Public Works addressed two traffic signal outages early Tuesday.

A lightning strike caused all traffic signals at Route 53 and Remington Drive to go out early Tuesday morning, according to Bolingbrook police. 

Bolingbrook public works crews repaired the signals, which were noted to be out around 2:40 a.m. 

Public works also fixed traffic signals at Weber Road and Remington Boulevard, which were reported to be flashing red around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Crews diagnosed the problem as an equipment malfunction
