Local Girl Scout Troop Constructs a FREE Library in Bolingbrook

In an initiative to give back to the community, Girl Scout Troop 75229 recently completed their project of installing a FREE Library just outside the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Center. The motto is "give a book or take book." The girls chose this idea to get people off electronics and return them to reading books. The library is fully stocked with books now and ready to go.

Girl Scout Troop 75229 earned their bronze award for this FREE Library project. It's the highest award a junior girl scout can earn. The FREE Library is located at the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Center (200 Lindsey Ln, Bolingbrook, IL 60440). The troop chose the colors (green and orange) to represent park district colors. They sanded it, painted it themselves, and all of them used the post hole digger to make the hole. The hand prints are each of their prints.
