Local Law Firm to Promote Local Charities and Give Away $1,000

As a Bolingbrook based law firm Giamanco Law Partners, Ltd. values the contributions of those within our community who dedicate themselves to giving to others and helping those who are less fortunate. Our attorneys and staff believe it is important to give back to the community as well, sometimes this is through pro-bono legal and volunteer work. Sometimes giving back is through donations to charities who make a difference in our community.

Back for it's second year, and running through the month of November, the law firm is hosting its "2018 Charity Promotion and Giveaway". A combination of public relations and charitable donations, the promotion is intended to advertise local charities and highlight the good work they do. At the end of the promotion one charity will receive a $1,000 donation from the law firm and all others have the opportunity to receive additional donations. The promotion is run through the law firm's Facebook page www.facebook.com/giamancolaw.

Six charities were nominated this year and submitted materials to participate in the promotion. Each participating charity's individual Facebook page can be viewed by clicking the links below:

• Kinetic Dance Company - a local dance company who aims to equip their dancers with forward motion to face challenges that lie ahead, preparing them to be just as strong mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually in life as they are on the dance floor.
• Southwest Suburban Immigrant Project (SSIP) - a social impact organization that's committed to empowering the immigrant community in the southwest suburbs through education, civic engagement and advocacy.
• Team Nicholas - an organization founded by Joanna Veghts after the passing of her son Nicholas, Team Nicholas makes monthly donations to the child life department at five area hospitals and to many families in need as well as bringing meals and supplies to the Ronald McDonald family room at Edward Hospital and preparing care packages and financial assistance for families facing long term hospital stays.
• DuPage County Area Project (DuCap) - has a mission of uniting families within communities to resources, services and education that will provide a positive impact to their daily lives and further promote a healthy environment in which children can live and grow successfully.
• Kindness Gala - founded by Amy Christopherson Logan and her husband, Vince Logan, because of a desire to give back after Amy's sister (Michelle) had been a recipient of several non-profit groups’ generosity while battling cancer, the Kindness Gala was created to help charities that help families in need.
• Not Your Shame - is a Christian outreach organization that aims to reach those affected by drug addiction, prostitution (sex-trafficking), and homelessness. Their mission is to bring hope, healing and restoration to those who are afflicted by helping them physically, spiritually and emotionally.

Throughout November Giamanco Law Partners will be highlighting the charities through individual posts intended to draw positive attention to each and raise awareness of all they have to offer our community. The law firm's 2017 promotion highlighted several outstanding charities but 4 Kids Sake ultimately came out on top with Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute coming in a close second.

On December 3 the charity with the most "likes" for it's photo will be declared the winner and will receive the donation. All other charities who receive at least 200 "likes" will also receive a donation.
