Local Non-Profit Eyes $7 Million Up for Grabs from Facebook
This year, Facebook is matching $7 Million in Donations made on Facebook on Giving Tuesday.

Heart Haven OutReach (H2O), a local non-profit organization focused on transforming lives of struggling teens through caring relationships and programs, is hoping to be on the receiving end of a portion of the $7 Million being offered from Facebook on Giving Tuesday. However, H2O needs your help, and your donations made directly on their Facebook Page, beginning at 7:00am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. No donation is too small and every donation will have a direct impact on the youth in our community.
This year Facebook has announced it is partnering with PayPal to match a total of up to $7 million in donations made on Facebook to eligible US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits, like Heart Haven OutReach (H2O). These donation matches are made on a first-come basis, while still available that morning. Giving Tuesday has become a significant giving moment for causes to raise money and create impact in their local communities. And if you needed even more of a reason to “give” on Facebook, nonprofits using Facebook Payments to process donations pay no transaction or merchant fees, meaning 100% of the donations made through Facebook Payments go to the receiving charity.
On Giving Tuesday, donations up to $250k per nonprofit and $20k per donor are eligible to be matched. Facebook and PayPal will match donations starting at 7am Central Time on Tuesday, November 27th and continue matching donations to nonprofits until the $7M match runs out. Therefore, the closer to 7:00am that you can make your secure Facebook donation, the more likely a portion of the match will still be available.
