Bolingbrook resident Tonya Przybylski has gone above and beyond to help during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tonya, a mother of 4 , started the Moms Making Masks & More in early April. She rallied what can be called a small army of volunteers from Bolingbrook and surrounding communities and began making masks for nursing home workers, airline attendants, healthcare professionals, and other essential workers. She later added Swag Bags to the mix as a way of saying Thank You to those who are sacrificing their safety in order to help others. Today, close to 1,500 masks have been made and distributed as the army continues to work on the requests that continue to come in daily. Tonya’s efforts along with that of all the volunteers who have played a role in the initiative has made a huge impact and is sure to have played a role in saving lives and stopping the spread. Thank you Tonya for your leadership role and sacrificing your personal and family time to help others, you are a TRUE inspiration.
