Man Found In Bolingbrook With Gun In His Car: Police

Police also found unidentified pills, jars of cannabis wax and a wad of cash inside 27-year-old Brian Laibl's car.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Cicero man was found with a loaded gun and drugs in his car in Bolingbrook Monday, police said.

Officers stopped a car at 2:38 p.m. on I-55 for improper display of registration. After talking to the driver, Brian Laibl, 27, of the 1500 block of S. 57th St., police could smell cannabis.

Police found out that Laibl was in unlawful possession of over 400 grams of cannabis, numerous jars of cannabis wax, and a gun. They also found approximately 83 unidentified pills and almost $7,500 in cash.

Laibl was taken into custody and charged with possession of cannabis, aggravated unlawful use of weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession with intent to deliver. He was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
