New Weekly Coronavirus Cases In Bolingbrook Drops To 3-Month Low
During the week of Feb.8, Plainfield reported 82 new cases, following Plainfield with 119 cases, according to WCHD.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook reported less than 100 cases of the coronavirus in a week for the first time since November, according to recent data available from the Will County Health Department. The village still continues to have the third-highest number of new coronavirus cases in Will County.
During the week of Feb. 8, Bolingbrook reported 82 new cases, following Plainfield with 119 and Joliet with 180 cases. Throughout November, December and January, the village has had the third-most number of weekly cases. The weekly number of cases reported were:

- Week of Nov. 30 - 410
- Week of Dec. 7 - 430

The village is also showing a significant decrease in coronavirus positivity rates across all zip codes.

According to data gathered from the Illinois Department of Public Health, as of Monday, the east side of the village (zip code 60440) has an average 7-day rolling COVID-19 positivity rate of 3.29 percent, whereas the west side (zip code 60490) is at 5.63 percent.

As of Tuesday, Will County has 64,444 COVID-19 cases, an increase of 606 from Thursday, while the number of deaths increased by seven to 883 during the same period.
