Over 600 New Coronavirus Cases In Bolingbrook This Month: WCHD
During the week of Jan. 18, Bolingbrook reported 195 new cases, following Plainfield with 263 and Joliet with 284 cases.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook has reported 626 new coronavirus cases in January, according to recent data available from the Will County Health Department. The village still continues to have the third-highest number of new coronavirus cases in Will County.
During the week of Jan. 18, Bolingbrook reported 195 new cases, following Plainfield with 263 and Joliet with 284 cases. Throughout November and December, the village has had the third-most number of weekly cases. The weekly number of cases reported were:

- Week of Nov. 9 - 452
- Week of Nov. 16 - 424
- Week of Nov. 23 - 336
- Week of Nov. 30 - 410
- Week of Dec. 7 - 430
- Week of Dec. 28- 195
- Week of Jan. 4- 239
- Week of Jan. 11- 192
- Week of Jan. 18- 195
However, the village is showing a significant decrease in coronavirus positivity rates across all zip codes.

According to data gathered from the Illinois Department of Public Health, as of Monday, the east side of the village (zip code 60440) has an average 7-day rolling COVID-19 positivity rate of 5.70 percent, whereas the west side (zip code 60490) is at 6.53 percent.

The WCHD reported 61,105 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, an increase of 125 from Tuesday, and 830 deaths from the virus, an increase of four from Monday.
