Pair Busted while Shooting Heroin in Forest Preserve: Police

Ninety grams of mushrooms, 29 grams of heroin and drug paraphernalia were found in the suspects' car, Will County Forest Preserve District police said.

Two Joliet residents allegedly shooting heroin in the parking lot of a forest preserve trail in Romeoville were arrested Wednesday afternoon on drug possession/selling charges.

Will County Forest Preserve District police officers, responding to a complaint about two people sleeping in a car at Centennial Trail, spotted the pair as they were preparing to shoot up at about 3:15 p.m., Lt. Tracy Phillips said.

Inside the car, officers found 29 grams of heroin, 90 grams of mushrooms and drug paraphernalia, Phillips said.

Arrested were Allison A. Peloquin, 29, of 3622 Forest View, and Michael Allen Cihon, 28, of 1649 Winter Court, who were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

The drugs were broken up into portions packaged for sale, she said. However, there is no evidence any drug sales occurred in the forest preserve, Phillips said.

Peloquin and Cihon are being held in the Will County jail. Cihon has a previous arrest for possession of narcotics schedule I & II in 2002.
