The Panther At The Cross - Virtual Program

Joliet Area Historical Museum's FREE Virtual Series - Book Reading by Author Pastor Calvin Quarles - Thursday, March 11th at 6pm

Join the Joliet Area Historical Museum's Free Virtual History Series as we present The Panther At The Cross: Book Reading by Author Pastor Calvin Quarles on Thursday, March 11th at 6pm.

The Freedom School was created by the Rev. Dr. Isaac Singleton at a time when it was challenging for many students in the 1960s. Along with the Joliet Public Library, we will be sitting down with Pastor Calvin Quarles, a student from the Freedom School. We will listen to his firsthand accounts of those challenges, the school, and the inspiration behind his book "The Panther at the Cross."

This virtual program will be on Zoom and is FREE and open to the public, though registration is limited and required. This program is brought to you by the Joliet Area Historical Museum, Joliet Public Library, and Wermer, Rogers, Doran, Ruzon CPA's.
