Teen Shot At Bolingbrook Gas Station: Police

An 18-year-old man was shot after a verbal dispute with two men at a Boughton Road gas station.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — An 18-year-old Streamwood man was wounded in a shooting Thursday at the Citgo gas station at Route 59 and Boughton Road. Bolingbrook Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 9:29 p.m.

"Upon arrival officers were informed that two men were allegedly involved in verbal dispute with the victim," Chief Mike Rompa said. "The offenders then shot at the victim and struck him in the arm area."

The victim called his family and someone called police, he said. The two men fled in a newer, dark-colored Chrysler 300, possibly displaying a temporary registration, tinted windows and dark-colored rims, police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated.
