Prescription Drug Take Back Day in Bolingbrook

Residents are encouraged to easily and properly dispose of any unwanted, unused or expired prescription medications at the event on Saturday

It is incredibly important to properly dispose of any unwanted, unused or expired prescription medications in your house. The vast majority of misused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet. All residents are encouraged to take part in the Prescription Drug Take Back in #Bolingbrook.

We are encouraging residents to participate in the Drug Enforcement Agency's (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day this coming Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Bolingbrook Police Department (375 W. Briarcliff Rd.). Bolingbrook residents are encouraged to drop off their unwanted medications at this approved collection site so they can be incinerated, which is the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) recommended approach for pharmaceutical disposal. Flushing medications down the toilet and throwing them in the trash are highly discouraged.
