Promenade Bolingbrook Hosting Halloween Event Saturday

The mall will also begin its Halloween light show starting Sunday night.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — UPDATE: The Promenade's Halloween event is technically sold out after more than 3,000 people requested tickets. The costume parade and Halloween tree lighting are still open to the public, according to organizers. Crafts and other activites are sold out.

The Promenade Bolingbrook will host its second annual "The Nightmare Before Christmas"-themed Halloween event Saturday. The local mall will also start its nightly Halloween light show on Sunday night.

The family friendly event will be held from 3 p.m. through 6:15 p.m. Saturday at the mall at 631 East Boughton Road in Bolingbrook. Everyone is encouraged to come in costume.

Entertainment options will include crafts, balloon artists, costume character meet and greet, apple dipping, inflatable slide, a magician and a tarot card reader. The events are meant for children, not adults.

At 6:15 p.m., there will be a Halloween music and light show kick-off, featuring music from the movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and a light show projected on the mall's Christmas tree.

The Halloween event will also coincide with the Fall Vendors Show, being held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Promenade.

On Sunday night, the Promenade will begin its nightly Halloween Light Show. The shows are on the hour starting at 5 p.m., with the last show at 9 .m. each night. Shows will run daily from Sunday to Nov. 10.
