Robbery At Bolingbrook Store Circle K: Police
The cashier tried to detain the man, but he fled the scene, police said.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — A man robbed a gas station convenience store in Bolingbrook Friday morning, police said.
Bolingbrook Police Department officers responded to Circle K, 398 S. Bolingbrook Drive, at 4:49 a.m. when they found out about a robbery in progress. The caller told police that a man threw a cup of coffee at the cashier. The cashier then defended herself and attempted to detain the man, but he was able to flee the store with no proceeds and some minor injuries.
Police said he fled the scene in a silver Kia, southbound on Route 53 towards I-55. Officers were unable to find the car. The man has been described as balding, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, in his early 40s and wearing a blue sweatshirt.
