I-355 Crash: Lanes Blocked For Semi-Truck Accident

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A crash at the Boughton Toll Plaza on I-355 forced the closure of all southbound lanes Thursday night. Traffic was diverted from the main lanes off Interstate 355 or through the toll-plaza lanes by the State Police. As many as three ambulances were dispatched to the scene, according to witnesses. The crash was reported shortly after 7 p.m. All lanes were re-opened around midnight. The crash also felled a lightpole on the interstate.

It's not clear yet the extent of any injuries to drivers or passengers. Patch will update as new information is learned.
