Taste Of Bolingbrook Returns To The Promenade In August
The annual event will happen from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m Aug. 3. Due to COVID-19, there won't be live entertainment this year, an official said.
BOLINGBROOK, IL — The annual Taste of Bolingbrook is returning Aug. 7 to The Promenade. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., visitors can get a taste of the village from participating restaurants and vendors.
Historically, every Promenade restaurant, as well as local restaurants in and around Bolingbrook, participates in the Taste, but an official list hasn't been released since the event is still in the planning phase, according to Grace Tucker, manager of communications and events at the Bolingbrook Chamber of Commerce.
While each participating restaurant sets its own menu, prices and method of payment, Tucker said each is asked to sell a taste-size item for $3.

A small-scale version of the event was held in 2020, and this year's free event hasn't fully recovered from pandemic-related conflicts. Tucker said large bands won't be performing at the Taste due to COVID-19. Instead, the entertainment will be similar to what's at the Summer Street Market each week.
"We're going to do what we did last year, only bigger ... but we're going to make sure we're providing a safe environment for all that attend," Tucker said.

Aside from food and drinks, there will be a family-friendly area with crafts and other activities sponsored by The Learning Experience. Tucker said vendors selling food, artwork and fashion — "a smaller version of the Street Market" — will also be interspersed throughout the area.
"We're still post-COVID, so it's evolving," Tucker said.
