Teen Edge Prepares Teens For Future Success
Local Bolingbrook resident, Tracy Vittorini, is working hard to make a positive impact on the lives of children and teens in our community.

Teen Edge is launching interactive coaching workshops for local teens starting in November. Workshops focus on developing essential life skills needed for success in school, sports and life. Teen Edge enables teens to strive for the next level, helping them understand the importance of bettering and investing in themselves.
Local Bolingbrook resident, Tracy Vittorini, is the Founder of Teen Edge. She has always been passionate about children and teens, wanting to make a positive impact on their lives. She has a Master's Degree in Psychology, specializing in adolescents as well as 25 successful years of experience in the business world, 15 of which have been in a career-related industry. “I created Teen Edge in order to fill a gap that I observed with most teens. In a world full of cell phones, social media and instant gratification, many teens are lacking essential soft skills such as communication, growth mindset, conflict resolution and work ethic. These skills are necessary for success, no matter what their life dreams may be,” said Vittorini. She is excited to launch her first coaching workshop at the Bolingbrook Golf Club in November.

Increasingly, experts and employers are noticing the lack of soft skills in the younger generations. According to the National Bureau of Economic Research, 92% of surveyed executives say skills such as problem-solving and communication are equally or more important than technical skills. The Harvard, Carnegie & Stanford Research Center concluded that 85% of success comes from emotional intelligence and soft skills, such as communication. In addition, according to a Stanford and Columbia University study, kids who understand that the brain can get smarter—who have a growth mindset—do better in school over time because they focus on improvement and see effort as a way to build their abilities. Growth mindset enhances sports performance and success later in life as well. Teen Edge was created to fill this skill set gap.
“What if we could get ahead of it and fill the gap when they are teenagers? Imagine if we could start at a young age and help these kids gain the skills necessary to succeed and truly prepare for their future,” said Vittorini. “Our motto is: No Boring Lectures! Workshops are engaging, interactive, and will make an impact on teens for years to come.” For more information and upcoming workshops, please visit www.teen-edge.com or follow Teen Edge on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/tracyvittorini/ .
