Thousands Attend First-Time Halloween Event
Children and Families visited The Promenade Bolingbrook on Sunday for a not-so-spooky Halloween Event inspired by Jack Skellington!
On Sunday, October 28th, The Promenade Bolingbrook hosted their first-ever "This Is Halloween" Event. Thousands of families (including ghosts, monsters, and others in costume) came out to partake in the free festivities which included caramel apple dipping, crafts, character meet-n-greets, a fall vendor show, balloon artists, a trackless train, spooky story time, and several inflatables.
Children trick-or-treated visiting vendors throughout the mall during the event. A costume parade preceded the official lighting of the Halloween Tree! Then, children and their parents circled around the tree for the official kick-off of the Halloween Music & Light Show. Event organizers were thrilled with the public's positive response to the event and have promised to host it again next year, with several event enhancements already in the works.
If you missed Sunday's event, you can still catch the Halloween Music & Light Show on the huge 60 ft Christmas Tree located in the center of The Promenade Bolingbrook. The tree will be dancing and twinkling with 250,000 LED lights to 2 of Jack Skellington’s favorite songs from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and two other Halloween favorites. The shows run nightly (on the hour) from 5pm to 9pm until November 4th.
