Time to look forward

The Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to re-launch its international travel program.

“After the year we had, it’s great to have something positive and exciting for the Bolingbrook community and others to anticipate,” said BACC Executive Director Kevin O’Keeffe.

“We had originally planned this trip for October 2020 and a few people put down deposits,” said O’Keeffe, “but then of course COVID put a halt to everything.

“Those who put down deposits were offered were the options of a full refund or rolling the deposit into another trip with an additional $100 credit. According to the organizer, Chamber Discoveries, all decided to roll their deposits into an upcoming trip.

“The best part about this particular trip is that you only unpack once; you stay in a first class hotel the entire time and have the opportunity for day-excursions; as the organizers put it ‘you come home every day.’”

The BACC is offering, to any interested parties, a trip to Pompeii and Amalfi in Italy, you do not have to be a chamber member or even a Bolingbrook resident.

Departing March 17, 2022 highlights include:

• A total of 10 days of travel

• Round trip scheduled airfare into Italy

• Six nights accommodation at one first class hotel in Sorrento; unpacking only once

• Breakfast daily and four dinners at hotel

• Transfers and sightseeing as indicated in the itinerary, with assistance, by deluxe motorcoach

• Welcome cocktail

• Full-day guided excursions to Positano and Ravello/Amalfi/Pompeii

• 24-hour Hospitality Desk daily at the hotel

• Enjoy a “Limoncello” with sampling of the products

• Pizza demonstration and tasting

• Pasta demonstration and tasting

Pricing is currently at early bird rates, $2,999 per person (double occupancy) if you secure your space with a $100 deposit by May 31, 2021. The price of the trip becomes $3,099 per person (double occupancy) for deposits made by Sept. 17. The balance is due November 7, 2021.
