On Friday, December 6, employees from Amazon’s Will County fulfillment centers partnered with the United Way of Will County to present Spirit of Giving at The Promenade Bolingbook. Associates helped the nonprofit package winter essentials and gifts to community members in need, all in the middle of a festive workshop.

The Promenade Bolingbrook management team volunteered to help decorate the space as their 2019 Volunteer Service Day. They also donated the supplies to make the crafts that will be donated to local senior centers. The Promenade Bolingbrook's Live360 program allowed for the hosting and partnership of this event. Also at the event, Andy's Frozen Custard donated two hundred cups of custard and gave attendees coupons for a future visit.

Brian Fontenot, General Manager of Amazon’s Joliet fulfillment center kicked off the event with remarks alongside United Way of Will County before announcing a surprise $45,000 donation. The donation will go towards funding the nonprofit’s critical, community impact work and supporting immediate community needs including, but not limited to the region’s homeless population, children trauma victims, home-bound seniors and nursing home residents, and other locals in need.
