Winter Break STEM Camp Announced

The Bolingbrook STEM Association is proud to announce their Winter Break STEM Camp! This year, it will be hosted January 2 - 4, 2019.

Wednesday Jan. 2nd & Thursday Jan. 3rd: LEGO Robotics Sessions Presented by StemShala

• Pre K - LEGO Basics - Students will build models while learning basic engineering concepts about gears, axles, wheels and pulley’s.
• Grades K-3 - LEGO Science Wedo Robotics - Students will learn about simple machines by building various models and putting it to work!
• Grades 4-8 - Design, Build, and Program LEGO NXT/EV3 Robots - Students will learn to build a robot by understanding the mechanical and electronic parts behind the creation.
• Grades 9-12 - Design, Build and Program a Ball Pitcher Bot and Grabber Bot - Students will be challenged to think critically about how to build something that will execute a desired function.

Friday Jan. 4th: Drone Technology Session Presented by Quad Star

• Grades Pre K - 12th - Students will learn the origin of drones, how they work, drone safety, and drones impact on our society.

The Bolingbrook STEM Association doesn't want cost to inhibit your child's ability to attend the session(s). If you'd like to inquire about some scholarships available, please e-mail info@bolingbrookstem.org. The Bolingbrook STEM Association aspires to provide a community wide program that exposes students to an innovative learning experience dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
