Burr Ridge Car Show and Splash Pad Kick Off Summer

BURR RIDGE, IL — As soon as June hit, it was like summer heeded the call to arrive. Suddenly, temperatures soared up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Luckily residents can get in the summertime spirit with these fun summer activities in Burr Ridge.

Burr Ridge Car Show

Classic coupes, vintage Volkswagens and antique autos will line the main drag of downtown Burr Ridge on Sunday June 11 for the annual Burr Ridge Car Show. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Burr Ridge Village Center near the intersection of County Line Road and Burr Ridge Parkway. The event is free to the public, so set aside some time to browse the more than 100 cars that will make up this year’s Burr Ridge Car Show.

Splash Pads Are Open for Summer

The Burr Ridge splash pad is now open for the summer. From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., kids can cool off by splishing and splashing through spouting fountains. This year, there is a new story stroll for kids to follow after dancing on the splash pad, so kids can learn something while they’re having fun.
