Burr Ridge Company Gifts Stuffed Bunnies to Ronald McDonald House Patients

The patients at Ronald McDonald House received cuddly Easter bunnies thanks to a local gift company.

BURR RIDGE, IL — When you're a little kid, there's nothing quite like getting a basket of goodies on Easter morning. For children at Ronald McDonald House, Easter just got a little brighter thanks to a Burr Ridge-based e-commerce company that donated dozens of stuffed Easter bunnies to the patients.

GiftsForYouNow.com, which sells personalized toys, keepsakes and other gifts, made the donation to Ronald McDonald House last Wednesday during one of their busiest times of the year. In a statement, a company representative said, "It is easy to get lost in the numbers and forget the lasting impact that even the smallest gift can have." Company President Jim Tuchler added, "[T]o be able to help make Easter a little brighter for these children is a humbling experience." The family-owned business has made people around the world smile with its one-of-a-kind gifts since 1999.

Ronald McDonald House of Winfield, Illinois accepts donations throughout the year. Located near Central DuPage Hospital, the home's 12 private rooms provide a warm and supportive "home away from home" for pediatric patients.
