Burr Ridge Man Accused In Hinsdale DUI Crash: Cops
Man left the scene of the crash without reporting it, police say.
BURR RIDGE, IL — A Burr Ridge man was arrested on a drunken driving charge after hitting an unoccupied car last week in Hinsdale, police said.
Zaki Anwar, 56, of Burr Ridge, was charged with DUI, failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle, failure to report an accident to the police and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
According to a Hinsdale police report, Anwar struck a car parked in the street about 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 10 block of South Thurlow Street. Police later found Anwar and his damaged car four blocks away in the 200 block of Chestnut Street, the report said.

Anwar submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit for alcohol in his system, police said. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Anwar was listed as living in a Burr Ridge house that is valued at more than $2 million.
