The village makes a request of residents during the storm.

BURR RIDGE, IL — The village of Burr Ridge is preparing for a snowstorm that is expected to start Monday afternoon and end Tuesday evening, dropping 8 inches of heavy, wet snow.

In a news release, the village's public works department said it has ample road salt, crews and equipment to handle the approaching storm. It asked residents to refrain from parking in streets so that snowplows drivers can operate efficiently.

The village also said its snowplow drivers will not remove snow plowed onto driveways, "so kindly consider helping your neighbors that may need assistance clearing this snow from their driveways and walkways."
