House was originally listed for $25 million, newspaper says.

BURR RIDGE, IL — The former Villa Taj mansion, which was once listed for $25 million, sold last week for $3 million, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The house is at 6501 S. County Line Road in Burr Ridge. The 30,000 square-foot, Middle Eastern-themed home consists of eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and three half bathrooms.
Built in 2011, the house includes an elevator, a grand ballroom and a gourmet kitchen, according to its advertisement. The property taxes were $63,831 in 2018, according to the Zillow real estate website.

When the mansion was finished, then-owner Husam Aldairi listed it for $25 million, but the home was sold in foreclosure not long after for $3.1 million, the Tribune reported.
The listing agent for last week's sale would not reveal the buyer, saying he "had his eye on it for a while and is really excited to make it his," the newspaper said.
