Burr Ridge's Virus Cases Rise 8 Percent
At the same time, the state sees a 12 percent increase.
BURR RIDGE, IL — Burr Ridge experienced an 8 percent rise in coronavirus cases over the last week. As of Sunday, the village had seen 342 cases, up 25 from a week before.
As of Sunday, Burr Ridge had 31.8 coronavirus cases per thousand people. The figure compares to 19.5 in La Grange Park, 20.7 in Darien, 22.2 in Western Springs, 25 in Clarendon Hills, 26 in DuPage County, 26.4 in Elmhurst, 27 in Hinsdale, 29.1 in La Grange (including unincorporated La Grange Highlands) and 31 in suburban Cook County.
Burr Ridge has seen 24 coronavirus-related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, according to county health authorities.

As of Sunday, Illinois' coronavirus case count increased to 417,280, up 12 percent from a week earlier. The coronavirus has claimed the lives of 9,792 state residents.
