Campaign Signs Targeted In Burr Ridge: Police

In two instances, people were seen either taking or knocking down signs, reports say.

BURR RIDGE, IL — In two instances lately, residents told Burr Ridge police that they saw people targeting their campaign signs.

On Oct. 9, a resident in the 800 block of Ambriance Drive said her neighbor came over and took her signs for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden out of the ground, according to a police report. She wanted an officer to tell her neighbors not to come onto her property anymore.

The neighbor told the officer that her autistic son likes President Donald Trump and did not like the neighbor's Biden signs, police said. She said she would speak with her son and tell him not to go onto the neighbor's property anymore. The victim said she did not want any action taken against the boy.
