Burr Ridge police reports, April 25

Identity Theft

A resident on the 500 block of Briarwood Drive received an e-mail from a credit card company about recent transactions and a password change. The resident contacted the company immediately, stating he or she did not make the purchases. The company is not holding the cardholder liable for the transactions, police said.

Credit Card Fraud

Someone used a resident's credit card from the first block of Old Mill Lane to place several orders in excess of $1,500. The credit card company is not holding the cardholder liable for the fraudulent purchases, police said.

Criminal Damage to Property

An employee of a local business reported at 12:37 p.m. that his or her 2008 Lexus was keyed while parked in a lot on the 1300 block of Burr Ridge Pk Parkway. No evidence was found at the scene.

Helping the Elderly

An officer at 8:58 a.m. changed a flat tire for an elderly motorist driving a 2008 Cadillac at Frontage and County Line roads.

Uninsured Vehicle

The driver of a 2005 Ford at 2:10 a.m. was cited for disobeying a stop sign and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle on North Frontage Road at Veterans Boulevard.

DUI

Mark McDowell, 52, of the 200 block of Pond Ridge Circle, Libertyville, was charged at 12:12 a.m. with driving under the influence of alcohol in his 2009 Toyota on the 500 block of Village Center Drive.
