Hinsdale South basketball star commits to Northwestern

Hinsdale south basketball player Barret Benson, a 6-10 center, will not be thinking about college choices when he enters his senior year in the fall. That choice is made—It is Northwestern, according to a story in the Chicago Tribune.

Benson spent the weekend in Evanston after a previous visit to Stanford before committing to Northwestern announcing his choice on Twitter, according to the Tribune. He also had offers from Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, Vanderbilt and other schools before narrowing his decision to the Wildcats and The Cardinal.
