King-Bruwaert House provides update on residential projects
New renovations and construction project signal changes at the senior living community

King-Bruwaert House in Burr Ridge announces exciting new changes highlighting several new projects that are recently completed or currently underway. An expanded residential option for Carrington Hall assisted living suites gives prospective residents an opportunity to enjoy additional space in a beautiful, natural setting. Located on the south side of the original Manor Home which opened in 1933, Carrington Hall suites offer unique layouts with large windows, light colors and an abundance of amenities and services that include delicious daily meals, a variety of activities, fitness and wellness classes and regular interaction with experienced, tenured staff. A new 1,000 square foot suite is available, as well as first- and second-floor options. Residents also have full access to a comfortable sitting room featuring a fireplace and an adjoining outdoor patio with seating.
Suzanne’s Place, a premier memory care neighborhood, has officially reopened with larger rooms in a scenic setting located on the north side of the KBH Manor Home. The nine-room care center accommodates individuals and couples and has been redesigned to offer larger, brighter rooms and private baths - all located in close proximity to a 24-hour nursing station, spacious dining room with fireplace, cozy family room for individual or group activities and two enclosed, secure landscaped courtyards. Residents enjoy three nutritious meals and receive quality care in a safe, secure setting.
Suzanne’s Place care team members work round-the-clock shifts and update their training as Certified Dementia Practitioners to stay current with industry trends, ethics, regulations, and medications relating to memory care and dementia. The team embraces a person-centered approach to provide daily care and support. Members participate in additional training to maintain their Dementia Practitioner certifications. They also receive ongoing in-service training on dementia-related topics.

Sales also continue for the spacious, beautifully-appointed luxury apartment homes, The Gardens of King-Bruwaert House, to be constructed on KBH’s campus. Initial consumer feedback paved the way for a much sought-after architectural change that now brings larger apartment home options to interested buyers. The 44-unit independent living project features quality, brick construction and bright, open floor plans in a natural wooded setting. Excellent dining options, personal and professional services, plus a range of amenities create a well-rounded lifestyle for residents age 60 and better. The Gardens of KBH becomes the third independent living opportunity available within the expanding King-Bruwaert community. The Woods of KBH cottage homes and Godair Park rental duplex ranch-style homes continue to be popular residential living options for senior adults.
Amenities for Gardens residents include multiple fitness centers with a spa, game rooms, several dining options, a lounge with bar, library, theater, community garden, as well as a chapel and a chaplain who leads weekly interfaith services. An enclosed walkway connects The Gardens to the existing Manor Home, providing easy and temperature-controlled access to all services, activities and events.
